October is a very exciting time at Neu-Valley Nurseries in Baltimore. There are lots of colorful mums, pumpkins of all sizes and colorful textured gourds.

If you are decorating for Halloween, this seems to be the place.  In addition to the large orange gourds...there are pumpkin carving kits, yard signs and ghosts on poles. It was fun seeing the kids pick just the perfect pumpkin.

My daughter knows the pansy is my favorite flower and Erica located NeuValley which advertised pansies.  Did you know that pansies appear “frozen” in  the cold temperatures but will liven up as the temperature rises?

                                         

I purchased a couple of small pots of these "flowers with a face" along 

with all the mums that my little car would hold.
