Friggatriskaidekaphobia..Frigga What?

Friggatriskaidekaphobia..Frigga What?

Even though it is Friday the 13th, I don't think I know anyone who has 'friggatriskaidekaphobia' a serious fear of the thirteenth day of the month on Friday. These people can not even go out.

There have been clients who have asked not to settle on Friday 13th, who will not live on the 13th floor of an elevator building. Some high rise buildings go from 12 to 14 and just skip thirteen.

We make  our own luck...good or bad. It is our attitude and how we respond. If you wake up with an "on no it's the 13th'' and it happens to be Friday...you have already set yourself up for "bad" luck.

Today was a wonderfully busy day and it felt, at times, like I was the extinguisher. Here is a  sampling  of today's fires.

One listing tested high for radon, a home inspection postponed because the air conditioning was not working, an "innocent looking" crack turned out to be structural, termites/damage in another and recent mold remediation (not disclosed) had taken place in a home scheduled for settlement.  All of these were on separate properties.

Yes, it is Friday the thirteenth but this is NOT why these things happened. It was just a regular "normal" day in real estate. Some people with fear of Friday 13 would have blamed the day.

Not me...I am lucky   to have enough business to have these challenges. I am lucky enough to have enough experience to bring in the best  people to handle each situation and I am lucky that none of my clients blamed me for any of these conditions. Four Leaf Clover

By the way...any month's 13th day will fall on a Friday if the month starts on a Sunday.
