I Go Nowhere Without My Camera!

I Go Nowhere without my camera.

Just read a featured post by Jeff Dowler ... your camera ...a best friend.

This is especially true in real estate.

                                                  my camera

My camera goes everywhere with me and it is definitely my best friend.  I remember to keep a charger with me at all times.

Just today on a listing appointment, after taking photos of the Baltimore home, my camera was a portable copier. Took a photo of the plat and driver's license so I would have seller's ID in my file.

Then I went to a lecture and took photos of the speaker, her signature to me in her  book and her slide presentation.

After that, it was  out to lunch where I photographed the waitress, the restaurant and, of course, the food. All of the above will be future blogs.

My camera is a  great tool  for the memory. I take a close up of the house numbers and street signs. No forgetting which property the photos belong with.

About a year ago I was thinking about having my camera ready in Baltimore. There was a time when I  made picture words with my camera.

Thanks to Jeff for the inspiration. I go nowhere without my camera!

What's In Your Camera Tonight?

I was getting ready to write my post for the day. Looked in my camera to see what story I could make from the day's photos. Was only able to upload two..and then received a "bad gateway message".

Oops, I thought it was in DRAFT...not so because I got a  comment form Virginia Dean, waiting for the story. Another from Martha Brown also waiting, and Georgina thinking I had an enchanted evening.

Actually, I just finished arranging this dozen of  beautiful roses and snapped the photo.

The picture of the yummy cake was a store prop in the Giant Grocery store today. I was thinking it would come in handy for a future blog..and the title would be " Let 'em eat cake".

Eyes Open and Camera Ready in Baltimore

While driving down the private road to show my property at Bixler Church Road,  this weekend, the moss on an old tree stump caught my eye. There is much to see when you have 28 acres.

Monday morning coming home from the gym, I took Lenn Harley's suggestion  to look closer in my garden. I had commented on her post that I saw no signs of spring.  I was about to give up when ... there it was...one lonely yellow flower. With all those buds, there will be many more in the next few days.

It only takes a few minutes to take a photograph as long as you keep your eyes open and your camera ready. You don't have to be an Ansel Adams to share your pictures.

That same evening, I decided to take one more photograph. It is not at all colorful   but an interesting "mean" looking Baltimore sky.

No Room for Shoes!

I was packing for a short trip – just a quick overnight away. I started with the essentials and then added the clothes and cosmetics and such. Suddenly the bag was full and the shoes wouldn't fit. How could that be?

Then I looked again. Half my overnight bag was taken up by things I couldn't wear either day or night. They were not accessories – they were absolutely essential.

You guessed it – they were electronic. The charger for my Treo, the camera and batteries, the extra battery for the tablet PC along with its keyboard and powerpack, the mouse, the universal charger that turns a car cigarette lighter outlet into a charging station. You name it, it goes along with me. My tech gadgets make it possible for me to do real estate my way. If it comes down to that other pair of shoes or an essential electronic device, it's no contest. The shoes I'm wearing will do just fine!
